Hypericum Berries
Hypericum is also commonly known in the St John's wort family. This flowering plant has stalks of berries in shades of cherry red, coral, green, white and burgundy. Popular in Christmas arrangements for it's similar look to holly (without the thorns!). The coral berries are now being used to bring touches of pinks and corals to baby showers, bridal showers and wedding bouquets. Hypericum derives its name from a Greek word that means, “Resembling Heather”. It can also be called the “Coffee Bean Berry”. Since this plant is known for its healing properties to fight depression and calm anxiety, it is can be associated with good health. Don't try to eat these though, they are considered toxic.
